Chase Evans goes green with switch to fleet of electric cars

Chase Evans replacing its entire fleet of company cars with electric Volkswagen ID3 vehicles. The new fleet of cars will replace the previous fleet of 50 Hybrids and is expected to complete by the start of July this year.

Chase Evans is a leading London estate & letting agent dealing with properties throughout Central and Greater London from its seven Central London offices and offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai. Conscious of its impact on the environment, Chase Evans has operated a fleet of hybrid electrical vehicles since 2016 and, with the improvements to fully electric vehicles, particularly in terms of range, the company has decided to further reduce emissions by changing its fleet to Volkswagen’s fully electric ID3.

Ian Ruffle, Operations Director at Chase Evans said: “The nature of our business is such that our staff cover a lot of miles on journeys in Central and Greater London and so reducing pollution is important to us. We are thrilled with the latest move to the ID3 fleet with electric vehicles becoming available to all of our sales and lettings branches. Moving forward and upgrading our fleet with fully electric vehicles has been an ambitious project for our business management team which is dedicated to reducing company’s carbon footprint, but we are now seeing the cars on the road and the feedback from staff has been very favourable.”

Pierre Raffre, Chase Evans HR Manager says: “The new fleet of cars will replace the previous fleet of 50 Hybrids and is expected to complete by the start of July this year. The Volkswagens are a major step forward in terms of efficiency and sustainability, running solely on battery power with no CO2 emissions. We have already observed a massive reduction in running costs with some staff reporting savings of more than 75% by charging at home rather than buying petrol, many boroughs also offer preferential parking costs for electric vehicles. The technology in the vehicles is comprehensive encompassing numerous improvements to vehicle safety and connectivity. The ID3 has been very well received by both our staff and customers, and with the continuing roll-out of public charging points the 260 mile range has proved more than adequate allowing many staff to need only one charge per week.”
