Aspen, Consort Place, Canary Wharf, London
Aspen at Consort Place is a luxury residential development in a distinctive cluster of high-rise waterfront buildings redefining Canary Wharf’s skyline. Together with the Wardian, The Newfoundland and the Landmark Pinnacle, Aspen forms a highly desirable urban quarter in a prime E14 location between the Thames and the South Dock basin.
Aspen has 65 storeys and accommodates a collection of over 500 studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The Consort Place scheme incorporates another tower (35 storeys), the five-star Dorsett Hotel, and a new public space with a community centre and a restored local pub. Like other high-end residential projects in Canary Wharf, Aspen is also packed with exclusive fitness and leisure amenities. There is a 24-hour concierge, secure bicycle parking, a wellness suite with a steam room, sauna, vitality pool and gym, screening room, family play area, business lounge and a sky lounge / bar on the 63rd floor.
Consort Place was launched in 2020 and is a project by Far Eastern Consortium (FEC), an international residential and commercial property developer. The first residents moved into the residential Aspen in the summer of 2024. The tower is currently the third-tallest building in Canary Wharf.
The slender Aspen tower structure is designed by Pilbrow and Partners architects who are also behind a string of London landmarks including the Heron Tower, 150 Bishopsgate, 2-3 Roberts Street, 60 Curzon Street and The Waterman. The “slenderness is emphasised by a contrasting curvilinear concave and convex profile with the height articulated into three distinct sections.” The project design maximises the natural light and the views of the Thames, Thames Barrier and the O2 on the Greenwich Peninsula to the east, The Royal Naval College and Royal Observatory in Greenwich to the south and Tower Bridge, The Tower of London and the City of London to the west. The Consort Place scheme won the ‘Architecture Tomorrow 2016 award from the Architectural Journal.

Local area
Set back from Marsh Wall, The Consort Place is anchored west of the South Dock basin. The land is part of South Quay, one of the prime Canary Wharf development opportunity areas with considerable residential and commercial growth potential. Canary Wharf has changed dramatically in the last 20 years from a predominantly business district to a place offering a great living environment for young professionals with their families.
The district has a great network of attractive streets, squares, passageways, arcades and pocket parks all ultimately leading to the river. The Thames and its vibrant waterfront are a stone’s throw from Aspen. The cycling and pedestrian path from Aspen to South Quay Footbridge via Wardian has significantly improved connectivity of this corner of Canary Wharf with the nearby Jubilee Place Park, One Canada Square, Cabot Square and Wood Wharf. Jubilee Place has exceptional eateries, cafes and restaurants and is a centre for Canary Wharf’s outdoor events and attractions. Also nearby is Crossrail Place, a more relaxed waterside location with a stunning conservatory park, smart eateries and delightful outdoor space with popular art exhibitions and public events.
